In the third quarter of 2025, the iOS platform in Ghana saw notable trends among the top carpooling and ridesharing apps. This overview, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads and active user metrics for these leading applications.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a significant upward trend in weekly downloads, starting at 7.3K in early July and peaking at approximately 13K by the end of September. Weekly active users also showed growth, rising from 85.9K to 96.4K over the quarter.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery showed a steady increase in downloads, beginning at 3.7K and reaching over 6.1K by late September. Active users followed a similar pattern, increasing from 19.6K to 22.5K during the same period.

Uber - Request a ride maintained consistent growth in downloads, with numbers rising from 2.2K to 3.2K by the end of the quarter. Active users fluctuated slightly but ended the quarter with an increase from 58.4K to 63.2K.

Shaxi saw a decline in downloads initially, dropping from 2.7K to around 0.7K by early September. However, a recovery was observed towards the end of the quarter, with downloads reaching 1.4K.

Lastly, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had relatively stable download numbers, starting at 517 and finishing at 634. Active users showed a minor increase, ending the quarter at 6.2K.
